Insulation, Design & Fabrication Ltd (IDF) was established in 2017 and has quickly become a leading provider of bespoke insulation solutions for the flat roofing industry. We are led by a highly experienced management team with more than 100 years' combined experience in the roofing insulation sector.
We can assist projects from the initial concept design stage through to manufacture and delivery of finished materials to site. This comprehensive approach ensures optimal product selection, efficient project coordination, quality assurance, and cost-effective solutions.
Our customer-centric service includes independent surveys for all clients, tailored solutions for individual project requirements, responsive customer support, and flexible delivery arrangements.
Our Facility
We operate from a state-of-the-art 14,000 square foot manufacturing facility located in the Black Country, near Birmingham. Our central UK location provides excellent access to projects nationwide while maintaining efficient logistics and competitive delivery costs.
Our facility is equipped with a comprehensive range of specialist machinery, enabling us to manufacture high-quality, bespoke products that meet the most demanding project specifications.

We've utilised IDF's pre-cut insulation service on several projects over the years where PIR insulation boards were required to be cut down to a specific size to fit the existing build-up. The material supplied was manufactured to a precise tolerance and delivery was tailored around us to suit our requirements and also the requirements of the site.
